2006 HONORS BANQUET FACULTY AWARDS

Introduction

Each year The College of Business presents awards to its faculty for outstanding effort and achievement in three areas of academic excellence--Teaching, Research, and Service.
 
 Outstanding Research Award

This year's Outstanding Research Award goes to Kevin Parker.

Kevin joined our CIS faculty in 1999 and received our COB Outstanding Teacher award in 2003.

Kevin’s record of achievement in research has been extraordinary. In the past year he has accomplished the following:

  • 6 publications in refereed journals,

  • 2 chapters published in refereed texts,

  • 7 publications in refereed proceedings of international conferences, and

  • 2 other presentations at an international conference

In addition, related to his research work and publication, Kevin has:

  • Served as associate editor of one journal and on the editorial board of another,
  • Reviewed papers for two journals and three academic conferences,
  • Served on the program committee for two conferences, and
  • Reviewed two textbooks for publishers

Over the past three years, Kevin has published 10 journal articles, two book chapters, and 12 conference proceedings.
